Updates


I've not posted an update for a while so here are the things I've added in the last couple of months of development.

  • Corrosive Stars

A new debris type for stars to go along with molten, frozen, and radioactive debris. When in a star containing debris hitting it will cause damage, and damage of that type is significantly boosted with any associated debuffs staying permanently until you leave.

Item Skins

I added custom item skins a while back but now they can be selected on a per-item (rather than ship-wide) basis. Combined with the item color selection system this should help players in customization.

New Consumables

With debris changes to stars, you can now get consumables that will remove certain debuffs. These will be essential when fighting in certain places.

Hidden Starmap

Players can no longer see the whole star map. Although some things will remain in roughly the same places exploration will now be required. With elite enemies, intercept stars (credit rewards) and hidden caches exploring could be well rewarded.

Citadel Boss

Second boss for sector one to go alongside the Basilisk. The Citadel is made up of 4 layers that you'll need to fight through and calls in assistance from other Skeran ships when attacked.

Skeran Beacon

A new special weapon that drops from the Citadel allows players to call for temporary assistance from friendly Skeran ships.

Shuriken Thrower

A new secondary weapon that can juggle electrical projectiles like boomerangs.

Proton Torpedo Launcher

A non-homing variant of the missile launcher that has a larger explosive radius and more damage.

New Hyperjump Effect

Finally got around to polishing the hyperjump effect.

Utility Slot Abstraction

It seemed a waste of a secondary slot equipping a grapple gun so they now have their very own slot on every ship. More utility-style items may be added in the future.

Get Star Vortex
